Bull Arab
Just a word in the ears of QLD DOLers It seems there may be someone out there who is not an authorised implanter selling microchips (not implanting them but selling the chips through the post) to non authorised implanters in QLD. These chips are also not registered on any database. I did some research and the QLD State law is very clear. You must be an authorised implanter to sell them, you must be an authorised implanter to buy them, and you must be an authorised implanter to implant them. They must also be registered (by the person that implanted them) on an approved database within 7 days. The fines are up to $20,000 So be careful and always use an authorised implanter (yes I am one before you ask so I am pretty clear on the law and I know it took a lot of study to get the qualification). Implanters should be able to quote you their AIN if you ask. Edited November 24, 2011 by Bull Arab
