becks
I just give it a shake, but use a wash bag so the sand doesn't get into the washing machine.
LizT
Ah.... it brings back memories of my holidays at the beach with the kids. Sand in everything. shake, Wash, shake! Then. Shake, wash, shake. :D It eventually comes out.
SwaY
Buy more, it's much cheaper then the headache you will get, trying to get it all out.
Missymoo
Sigh, lesson learned no more sand
becks
wet sand will stick to the vet bed, so you need to do the shaking when the bedding/sand is dry

becks
You can on cool setting BUT how are you going to get all the sand out of the dryer?
Trisven13
I would think that it would depend on the type of filter. My new drier has a filter different to my other driers and it collects an amazing amount of stuff. You could always vacuum it out after too????? I will confess to having no knowledge of how much of the sand would end up in the motor and that would be my concern.

sandgrubber
Sand is a fact of life. Yah, it's messy. But washed sand is sanitary. Accept the things you cannot change. Use a dustpan occasionally to clean up the harmless mess.
