redangel
Ive been away from here for a bit. Its been steadily raining all day so I pointed the camera out the backdoor to take a piccy. Its only handheld shot (I havent made friends with my tripod) Anyway I thought Id share as I am only just starting to pick up the camera again. Kirislin
that's lovely! I wish I'd thought to do that yesterday, we had a deluge here, no doubt the same one you had. I fear what my gravel driveway will look like this morning. Good to see you back here too. Edited November 19, 2011 by Kirislin

tdierikx
Mine certainly aren't anywhere near as nice as yours redangel... but it's great fun trying to catch the drops happening, isn't it? T.
redangel
It is fun. I was so disappointed that it was training and I was housebound that I just decided to poke the head out the door and take a shot of something! Thanks for sharing your shots. Nice. tdierikx
so how do you photograph rain drops....yes I am a complete dunce It involves a lot of patience and timing... *grin* When I took my ones, I reckon I snapped about 1000 to get about 25 decently focused ones... errr! I worked out that manually focusing on the spot you want, then snapping in Sports mode with continuous shooting, got me more good shots then trying to catch the drops myself... I'm a bit of a lazy bugger... T.

redangel
Yes its all about the raindrop & the focus matching up. My shot was taken midmorning it was a heavy shower, thankfully I was under an eave.
