But yeh he does this air humping where, either laying down or even sometimes standing up, his penis erected and pelvis thrusting action happens. If left entire, many male entires, if they have been clever enough to work out how to relieve themselves in this way, will do so right throughout their lives. Some boys use the air, ground, bedding, a toy, their legs and their mouths. All perfectly normal and something as an owner of an entire dog you will have to learn to live with. I certainly would not be reprimanding him for it provided he is doing it at home and not bothering any other dogs or people. Better than him becoming sexually frustrated. I only tell him off in public, now I just say, time and place buddy and he stops and then when he's by himself if he wants to hump his pillow well that's his business lol. He listens to me around bitches on heat and doesn't just run off so it doesn't affect that side of things. ETA he doesn't do it often in public anymore, seems to get that I don't appreciate it. The other day was the first time I've seen him do it in ages, starts with a lick or two and then by the third one well you know something else is going on so I just said Sammy time and place and he remembered and stopped. The sad thing is everyone just laughs when it's a boy, but I once knew a female who did the same thing, and everyone was like ew gross Poor girls.
