Trio charged as fight follows dog attack From: AAP November 08, 2011 5:26AM

THREE men, one alleged to have been armed with an axe, have been charged over a row that started when a woman was bitten by a dog in western Sydney.

A 50-year-old woman was walking through Mount Druitt about 6.45pm (AEDT) yesterday when she was bitten by a crossbreed dingo/fox terrier, police said.

The woman fell as a result of the bite and was taken to Mount Druitt Hospital suffering from a bite wound, cuts and abrasions.

A short time later, the woman's 25-year-old son approached the owner of the dog, a 62-year-old man who was allegedly armed with an axe.

A fight broke out, during which the 25-year-old and a 17-year-old neighbour disarmed the dog owner.

The victim's son then allegedly punched the owner in the head, causing him to fall.

The 17-year-old boy allegedly kicked him in the head while he was on the ground.

Police were called and all three were arrested.

The 62-year-old man was charged with several offences, including being in charge of an attacking dog and affray.

The 25-year-old was charged with affray and both were bailed to appear before Mount Druitt Local Court on December 1.

The 17-year-old boy was charged with common assault, affray and will appear before Parramatta Children's Court on November 28.

Blacktown Council has been informed of the dog incident and will decide an appropriate course of action.

This was just on Syndey's 10 News. Apparently the woman was just walkin past the property, the dog came out and bit her 5 times on her legs. They showed the bites, they were quite bad, at least one was an open wound that needed several stitches.

The dog's owner was yelling and charging at the press and throwing their equipment around. His excuse for the dog attacking: "when he sees dark people...he doesn't like dark people".

The victim looked to me like she had olive toned skin, may have been middle eastern??

More just now on Seven News, there had been previous complaints and the man's three dogs have been seized before. There was a dangerous dog warning sign on the gate.

Apparently 2 of the dogs were involved in the attack, all 3 now seized. I think this is a case where at least the two that did the damage this time, possibly all three if the other has attacked before should be PTS.

The owner seems to have quite a few screws loose and should not have dogs!!
