Any Opinions On Wahl Show Pro Dog Clippers?

My first pair of Wahl clippers were show pro and they were fantastic, I would say they will definatley do the job you want them to do. Mine are still going strong now but they have gone to my auntie after I got dog number 3, I didn't want to burn them out before thier time. My auntie uses them for her little silky terrier x and they are still going, great clippers. I upgraded to Wahl km ss. I think my memory I paid around $100 for the show pro and that was about 4 years ago.

Aw, I think they're ok! I bought Wahl Show Pro clippers a month or two ago, and I haven't had any problems yet. I also didn't want to spend that much before I decided whether I would be able to do it myself- I have a poodle and so far it's been fine. She doesn't look nearly as neat as when she comes back from the professional groomer, but she's a pet and they definitely do the job for that.

I think I paid.. $86 or something, from memory, and each professional clip was almost that much. So no love lost if the cark it!

I bit the bullet and bought the Wahl KMSS 2 clippers. One of the main differences between cheaper and professional clippers is the motor. The husband's-short-back-and-sides variety are rated anywhere between 10 and 15 watts while the Wahl KMSS 2 is rated at 45 watts and the difference is night and day, the husband's-short-back-and-sides variety I tried initially bogged down as soon as I tried cutting the coarse hair on the back of our Wire Foxy. This ultimately put me off further attempts. The 45 watt Wahl clippers just scythe through the coarse hair like it's mere bum fluff.
