Dog Spike

Hi all,

I swear that when I was back in blighty you could walk in to pretty much any pet store and buy a dog spike to leash your dog to. A lot of them were like big cork screws so you screwed them in to the ground and then attached a leash to them so they didn,t run off when on a family day out. Did i dream that these exist or does anyone know where you can get them from?

I have one and as far as I know you can get them at pretty much any pet shop.

Cheapaschips have them ..pretty awful quality tho .

I use to have one years ago.

Now days I just crate the dogs, it's so much safer for the dog and you.

I have them for when we go camping, as well as crates.

$2 shops stock them, but I'd be getting a better quality one from a pet shop or internet.

Make sure the cable you use is plastic coated, and suits the size/weight of the dog.

Yep we got ours from Pet Barn for camping - with a 6m runner.

Thanks for the swift replies everyone, I honestly cannot believe how easy it was to find them now as I have been looking in every petshop i went in to and also searching on the net with no joy, I think because I was looking for a dog "spike" rather than a "tie out"
