Fireworks And Roaming Neighbour Hood Dogs.

Following on from another thread so as not to hijack.

Our neighbour regularly lets off fireworks (illegal in NSW) during parties. We don’t give two hoots about the music and party noise, but figure it would be great to at least have an idea of fireworks going off at some stage to get our dogs and horses sorted beforehand and be prepared. That’s what we all do around here, let each other know. The fireworks go off at least every 2 or three weeks.

These people are very new to the area and really have no idea, either that or they just don’t care at all.

Their dogs are always wandering on our property and causing trouble.

People around here have very expensive horses and lots of other companion animals. Dogs run when they here fireworks (I can hear them all barking and going off) Horses are happily feeding or resting and all of a sudden all of that changes in a moment with no warning. We risk our horses running into fences and at the very least to become very unsettled. It can take quite some time to settle them all down, then more fireworks go off.

I (and our other neighbours) have called the police to no avail. We have called council as well. The police tell us to call council, council tell us to call the police.

In regard to their roaming dogs we have offered/suggested to go halves in the outside fencing on the boundary fence (dog proof) they refuse. We have had other dogs from neighbouring properties get out and come here, though we are all happy to work together to solve the problem and have replaced fencing (even though it is not our problem, our dogs are all safe in our house yard) Dog proof and hotwired at the top just in case.

Any experience or opinions that will see us through this mess? Council have been contacted in regard to the fireworks as well as the police.
