Kirislin
It's weird they've put that lens on it though, isn't that notoriously slow to focus?
~*Shell*~
Dear Santa, While you're picking up Kristin's camera, just add another one for me please. 12fps with the full frame sensor and dual digic 5 processors. I'd love to see how it handles action shots with the full frame sensor. Either way, it's a massive step forward. *drool* is all I have to say about that. ETA: They probably just used it for the shot Kirislin. Pretty much all of the spec shots I've seen for any of the EOS camera have had a 50mm on it. Most of the 7D shots I've seen have the 50mm 1.4 - this one is marketed at professionals so they probably had to kick it up to an L series lens and the 50mm is the right size to photograph well. Kirislin
Far out, I didn't realise it's full frame as well! OK, now I want it too. Please Santa, can you include me as well. I have been really good this year.

Kirislin
and only $6800 USD bewdy, should be a couple of $ cheaper here then, or has our $ dropped below theirs again .
Linda K
about the same, but guess it depends on whether they are going to bump up the price with GST etc - at least DPI will have it cheaper!!!!
kja
If you can't afford this one, wait for closer to the end of next year - some trickle down to the new consumer models should be in place by then. It *could* happen by April '12 but I'm not holding my breath for Canon to release super new contenders so close to the public launch of this sexy beast! Kirislin
nah, I dont really need a new camera, if I'm realistic, my 7D is still more than enough for me. :D
