Tay.
I'm still trying to decide on what lens I want, and I think actually "test-driving" the lens could help with my decision. Has anyone ever hired/rented a lens before? If so where from? I don't really know what to expect with how much to pay or anything, so if anyone has any experience in renting a lens, tell me your story :p
Kirislin
No, I never have but I spoke to this guy once and he seems really nice, and genuine. https://www.rentalens.com.au/index.php
kja
I have, but it was a US company. It's a brilliant way to try a lens you aren't sure about or if you know you want to use a particular lens but don't want to/can't afford to buy it. Be warned, after renting a couple of similar lenses I ended up spending three+ times what I intended as I decided I really did need the most expensive option
wagsalot
One of my mates has hired a few when thinking of buying a new lens to help make his mind up.
~*Shell*~
Yep! Do it all the time for shoots. Fantastic way to test drive a lens. Make sure you hire it for a time when you have plenty of time to truely test it out though!
