poodlemum
Standard Poodles - 2 boys, father & son. The only breed I've ever owned, apart from Poodles, was a German Shorthaired Pointer - they are beautiful dogs, if a bit "spethial"

Cat
An Airehead (Airedale Terrier in case you were wondering LOL) An Airedale would make my wife's life complete. I totally recommend that she get one ;) trust me I keep a look out - 4 pups on DOL. how would they go interacting with a Lab? My BIL has a lab and they all get along well. Sometimes the lab doesn't want to have anything to do with them, but that is only because she thinks she is an old lady and not a dog. Airedale and Shar Pei here.
