Mason_Gibbs Posted October 6, 2011 Share Posted October 6, 2011 My puppy is always hot ( he has a thick coat), when he has been running or playing with my other dog he will pant a lot while playing. Chris the Rebel Wolf Posted October 6, 2011 Share Posted October 6, 2011 Zeke pants quite excessively, did so when he was a pup, and now again that he is elder and slowing down some - because he gets the same burst of energy and thinks he can go all day! moosepup Posted October 6, 2011 Share Posted October 6, 2011 I used to panic because of the opposite, Moose hardly ever pants! I can take him for a walk on a 40 degree day and he'll barely stick his tongue out. The other dog starts panting when you clip the leash on. I call it his 'rabies look'. I'm thinking it's just because we're having much warmer weather? That, and the exuburance of being a puppy on the go maybe?
