pixie_meg
I see that on most puppy foods there is less fat %. And often people say don't give a growing puppy too much fat, but say with a breed like Borzoi or saluki where they generally have trouble keeping weight on, would it be ok to have a higher fat food for them so long as the cal/Phos ratio is still correct. And whats with the high protein in some puppy foods?
poodlefan
In most of the puppy or junior foods I'm familiar with, there is MORE fat than the adult version. I feed Royal Canin Medium Junior to Howie - and he's three!!
pixie_meg
Oberon has been on Royal Canin German Shepherd which is 19% fat. But the junior is 16% fat. I guess its just based on what i use. never mind. Bought the German shepherd junior for Adonis. The Adult version has done wonderful things for Oberon so I hope the junior is just as good.
