Cat
I also was flicking through channels & came upon it when they had the BC on. Then it went to the Silver Foxes & I had to turn it off after a few minutes. IMO there is NO reason to do such "research" I am sick of "research" that occurs without benefit & it happens all the time. Sometimes humans need to learn to leave things be & not interfere with nature! We truly are very selfish beings. You know the foxes came from fur farms, right? How do you think they are kept there? yes, originally. It still does not justify keeping wild animals in that way. I am pretty sure they do not have the same animal ethics that we do. Also it is hardly research without benefit. they have learned a lot about genetics from it. The animals are not abused and I think it is better than them being killed just for their fur. There was an article about it in National Geographic earlier in the year. I thought it was very interesting. Some of the tame foxes are now pets in people's homes.
