Have been asked by a friend to identify this

841bb4a3.jpg

Female Staffy cross, 8 ish yo (is a rescue so unsure of age) entire no known litters, the site is not sore or hot. This seems to have come up in the last 24 hrs but has not been noticed untill now.

She is in good health and seems to be acting normaly they are heading to the vet tomorrow but wondering if this would be classed as an emergancy.

Thanks in advance.

I wonder why the did not just do a needle aspirated. That would have been a whole lot smarter than a cream when they don't even know what it is...

If the dog was mine I would be returning and asking the vet to do a fine needle aspirate.

I would want some idea of what it is before subjecting the dog to surgery...

Hope it turns out all good

I can think of one reason why a f.n.a may not have been done - unlike many types of lumps, in a sarcoma the tumour cells often do not exfoliate well, making an aspirate a waste of money since it will be non-diagnostic & you'll still need a biopsy/removal done for a diagnosis. But if you want to try an aspirate before a biopsy in case it does work, then you could always ask and see what they say. Good luck. :)
