pirate
Has anyone noticed that the wider the collar the longer it gets. I needed to buy a new collar for my pointer as the plastic clip had snapped. I bought a new collar yesterday which would be about an inch wide, it is adjusted to as small as it can go but it is still to big. Hopefully he will grow into it. I have never had this problem before.
WreckitWhippet
Have a look at the Sighthound collars. In particular the one's made by Blackdog, they are perfect for Pointers and so are many of the Greyhound collars in the larger sizes. http://www.blackdog.net.au/index.php?page=shop.browse&category_id=1&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=5&vmcchk=1&Itemid=5 Also the Rogz limited slip/ half check collars are excellent http://www.rogz.com/home.htm http://www.ozpetshop.com.au/product_info.php/products_id/1943 or if you want to go upmarket http://www.hideandcollars.co.uk/collar3.htm or if you want practical, cheap and made to measure these guy will do them for you. I have the lined ones for my Hounds . There service is excellent and they have made them to size for my Whippets and SBT's. The widths are great on them http://www.justgreyhounds.com/elitegreyhound.html Edited September 15, 2011 by Pav Lova
Poodle wrangler
We had a GSP at obedience that loved to slip his collar- despite it being firm on his neck to start with- and run and run and run.... I'd look at the sight-hound collars.
