RuralPug
anyone have these? dog cage wondering what the quaility is like, thinking of using them while at the dog shows. eta or this one Have seen these or similiar in pet stores, they looked flimsy to me but may have been cheap copies of a good one (mind you they were significantly more expensive than the above deal.) But just looking at the dimensions, would a grey be comfy in either? You really need to take a couch or something for them to be comfy, I suppose!!! Sayly
The first one is ok but nothing amazing, it would fall over under a grey puppy jumping against it I would think, although I haven't used mine in a while. I wouldn't rely on it with any dog with bounce!
pixie_meg
save your self some money by buying the 2 metal cage compost bin packs from bunting s plus some zip ties. you'll get 8 panels for $50 that way, and from what i've seen they're identical to the ones in your link.. I make a crate with mine with 2 panels on each side and 1 panel on each end then the last 2 over lapped on top. perfect for shows.
Rileys mum
Cant help you regarding the pen but just a thought...could you not use several tent pegs and peg the base down to make it more stable? Might work??
pebbles
A friend has one similar to the second one and she has to peg it into the ground, if her two Cavs both jump up on the same side together it tips over, it is fairly light.
Red Fox
Not sure on the quality but Topbuy has some pens on special with free postage this week.
Rebanne
The top buy one looks ok too. It will be for the civilised older dogs, pegged down. Wouldn't put a pup in one yet. ETA I thought of using the Bunnings ones, I have heaps, might still end up doing so. Edited September 7, 2011 by Rebanne
Kanati Whippets
Anne, I have the 1st one and i won't use it for the whippets except as very small babies for a play yard once they get any size to the they just tip it right over when they stand up on it. I second this idea - much stronger metal and easy to put together - I found the lighter ones would fall apart with the Labs throwing themselves against it - the Bunnings compost mesh is quite sturdy IMO:)great for pups at a show:thumbsup: Edited September 7, 2011 by Tapua

Austjam
We had the first one which worked well while the pup was smaller but stopped using it as a pen once he could jump on the egde. Some panels still get a bit of use as a cheap alternative to a baby gate.
