Tilly
It is scary how fast the "yes" votes are coming in ...
tobie
Voted NO All I can say is some people are absolute idiots and will never learn. Be interesting to see how the press would react if a Lab or CKCS bit someone. Would they have the same poll. I highly doubt it. Rotties are a brilliant breed. Over the years having worked in animal shelters I have come across quite a few and they have all been absolutely sooky beautiful natured dogs. GeckoTree
I think half if not 98% the people voting yes are voting for the sake of it. Really Rotties, Rottweilers, like that dog who sparked the poll was pure I doubt it. tan eyebrows must mean a rottie as someone said lol, Dubious purity to begin with. All the real Rotties I have come across were great except for one, but he was owned by a psycho. Edited August 31, 2011 by -GT-

At least for the time being must be lots of dog loving people voting :D Yes (3401) 45% No (4166) 55%
WreckitWhippet
The poll runs for 5 weeks, average Joe will vote once and forget about it. If every one of us votes once or twice for the next 5 weeks, it should swing in the no's favour. We can usually turn a poll around by the power of DOL
Tilly
I suspect the "Yes" voters are doing the same as some of the "No" voters ... there was just too many "Yes" votes happening in a short space of time for be normal voting ...
k9angel
I've met a few rotties over the years and haven't met a bad one yet. I voted No.
wolfgirl
Of course I voted NO but if there was a poll to ban irresponsible owners the answer would definitely be YES
silentchild
This poll makes my heart ache. Why would anyone even vote Yes? I look at my sweet girl's face and I just think, "how could anyone want to ban you???"
Adnil444
I just voted no - I've got a rottiexdobe (best of both worlds I say), and I worry. I've just put padlocks on my gates to ensure no one can ever let them out. My lawnmower man will now have to ring me before he arrives so I can unlock the gate for him (he usually comes when I'm at work and lets himself in with my extremely dangerous dogs ). Like all the others, I've yet to meet a rottweiler that isn't a wonderful dog. I'm sure in the past there have been some in the wrong hands, but to me they are a wonderful family dog, like any dog that has been brought up the right way. Why can't they run polls on banning irresponsible owners? Why can't the councils and government crack down on owners that don't do the right thing? Mags
Bloody hell of all breeds to want to ban - lovely sooks. I am however really sick of the owners of SWF's that think it funny that their dogs aren't socialised and are dog agressive. Would love to ban them. TrinaJ
I suspect the "Yes" voters are doing the same as some of the "No" voters ... there was just too many "Yes" votes happening in a short space of time for be normal voting ... I posted it on FB, lots of Rottweiler breeders and exhibitors overseas are also voting NO and reposting the link in their FB status. FB is very a very useful tool, just like DOL Thanks to everyone for voting NO
Baileys mum
Yes (4718) 43% No (6181) 57% Looks like all our votes are making a difference...but it still sickens me that there are 4718 votes that want to see Rotties banned.
