Can You Freeze Eggs And Yoghurt To Prolong Use By Date?

Quick question as Im not sure if i can do this or not....

My boy is raw fed and I purchased some large containers of natural yogurt and eggs really dirt cheap today. to save me wasting them because i won't get through it all before the use by date i was thinking of freezing it and taking an egg and scoops of yogurt as needed. Can i do this safely do you think?

Many thanks :-)

The yoghurt will separate when it thaws but if it's only for the dog i guess he won't mind. the freezing process will probably kill the probiotics though which would negate the use of it in the first place though.

No problem. If you don't like the separation of the yoghurt, whip up the eggs with the yoghurt. You could even throw in some oatmeal and flaxseed and other goodies and make a healthy 'ice cream'. Egg yolk is a good emulisfier and should help keep the yoghurt from separating. But really, separation of yoghurt doesn't affect its nutritional value, and it's hard to get anything to grow on dairy products that will harm a dog. I feed moldy cheese ends to mine all the time.
