SnoPaws
http://lilydale-yarra-valley-leader.whereilive.com.au/news/story/dingo-death-trauma/ Axle lived across the road from my mum He was a lovely natured animal, well socialised and well exercised by his owners. It wasn't unusual to see him and his 'dad' at the local shops in the evening just picking up some groceries. He was attacked by an unrestrained mongrel just around the corner from his house on the way home from his evening walk with his dad. Thank god neither of the girls were walking him at the time. He didn't stand a chance. Axles owners could be described as bogans and he could be described as dangerous but he was lucky, his owners were responsible, they were educated, they socialised him, exercised him and never, ever let him wander. Pity the other morons didn't do the same ................... Time to stop blaming breeds and start blaming idiot owners

Weasels
Oh that poor thing Unfortunately despite their fierce reputation purebred dingoes have quite a light frame, and many are no match for a stocky fighting breed RIP Axle.
LizT
That is very sad to hear when any beloved pet is set apon by a DA dog with a bit of grunt behind him. Poor fellow. So wrong to have an animals at large, but particularly an aggressive one. Seem to be seeing alot more Dingoes as Pets these days. Beautiful creatures. Only this morning I saw a man walking three on lead, along with a small white fluffy and what might have been a Dingo puppy if they come in black??? All beautifully behaved. RottnBullies
I'm so sorry to hear this, It would of been just horrific for his owner, and certainly a horrible way to go for the poor dog, just doesn't seem fair and was so preventable R.I.P Axle
JulesP
SnoPaws do you mind saying were this happened so I can avoid the area. I'm taking the dogs with me all over the place at the moment as I house hunt and usually do test walks from houses.
Her Majesty Dogmad
Horrific, that poor dog and the poor owners. I wish to God they would euthanase the moronic owner of the vile dog that did this. Hope the dog has been euthanased without question.
k9angel
So very sad. R.I.P. Axle. So because of 1 bogan owner, 2 dogs lives are lost and a family is left heartbroken.

ellies mum
2 weeks ago one of my lovely clients who boards here at our pet resort was dragged under the fence and injured so badly she died later that day....he beautiful brother still sits by the fence where he last saw her dragged under...!They were the nicest most social dogs I have met. The owners never apoligised and just didnt have a reason for keeping 2 such savage dogs.... The story was in last weeks paper and I have heard that they were embarrassed and put the larger more aggressive dog to sleep. Rangers could not do anything as it happened on private property and Simba was found on their side of the fence...( a neighbour saw her dragged under but wont testify to this) These 2 dogs had killed several pet rabbits in the past few weeks and bitten a lady.....nothing had been reported.. If Simba's owners knew the type of neighbours and their dogs they had they wouldnt have left them in the yard at all... So sad for all concerned......the ppl dont even live at the address at the moment...just pop by to feed the dogs..???????????????why have them.? I think its time for a community drive to let ppl know if there is a dangerous dog in the neighbourhood...
