waybev
Hi All We have an 11 week old Blue Heeler and up until now has been in his crate of a night time and waking us to toilet, as we live in a motorhome we use a soft crate and you guessed it he has chewed the zipper so we cant close it up( we are in far west SA and no upholsterer here)he is now sleeping on his bed which covers most of his area and tethered at night' the last 2 nights he has pooped on the steps and done wee on his bed last night as well. If he is whining to go out it must be less as we haven't heard it. Any ideas on a different method of training for night time toilet Thanks Wayne
persephone
Hi soft crates are great for older dogs who don't chew ... my only suggestion is to set your alarm for a couple of times during the night ...
Mason_Gibbs
Maybe try and get a wire crate...
aussielover
Don't tether the dog at night, it is potentially dangerous. If you're not hearing the dog, you can set your alarm every few hours and take him out. Can you get a wire crate or playpen?
persephone
playpen? ;) probably not a lot of room in a motorhome ....
waybev
Yep that was the problem and why we got a soft crate it had to squeeze ib between dashboard and gear stick so bit more flexible. No accidents last night Busta is tethered at night to stop roaming around he climbed over everything else i made, he is tethered via his harness thanks for the replies wayne
