Steve
I sent a male Maremma pup home to his new family last Friday. He was a bit older than usual - 17 weeks so I was a bit more attached to him and it was sad to see him go. I just recieved a phone call from his new owner. He was electricuted today on an electric fence. Pet plan have been wornderful to the new owner and will cover the purchase cost and the vet expenses. The owners are very thank ful I activated the free insurance as he was leaving here. Petplan- Julie

Steve
OMG... so he died? Yep - I spent 3 hours or so with the new owner when they came to pick him up and one of the things we discussed was that electric fences are illegal around dogs in NSW
Swizzlestick
Poor thing. Jesus, how strong is their electric fence? Seems odd that he died, doesn't it?
Shazzapug
How sad. You were lucky you got the free insurance seeing how he was 17 weeks old, I am sure I have kept puppies a bit longer than usual and gone to do the insurance and havent been able to do it because the puppy was too old. Maybe they have extended the age limit. ETA...there is no way our elecrtic fence would kill a pug puppy...they must have had it connected straight to mains. Zayenah
How sad for the owners I've only had 1 kitten owner make a claim from the 6 week insurance and it all went through easily. Not sure if there is an age limit on it (for cats at least), I was able to cover a 6 month old I ran on when I rehomed her.
