Not a common breed to see in art form. Edited August 12, 2011 by english.ivy

Guest english.ivy
First time I saw a photo I thought they were a strange looking Pointer but soon learnt about them. Stunning breed! Just wanted to share the poster I found. Sharing is caring.

Clyde
For some reason I had pictured them to look quite different to that. They almost look like a Bloodhound X GSP.
tomas
For some reason I had pictured them to look quite different to that. They almost look like a Bloodhound X GSP. That is often how they are described... This is my new Import boy Alex, who is 10 months old now. New Zealands first and only Bracco Italiano. Can you tell I am a proud Dad
Clyde
What are their temperaments like?
tomas
What are their temperaments like? Laid back! I also have 5 Vizslas and Alex is calmer than my 5 and 6 year olds! But he does run and loves that, and is more independant than a vizsla and has a tendency to wander on walks...in his own world,oh and he is VERY birdy, more so than even my best hunter! He loves to sleep eat and have cuddles,VERY VERY affectionate. Loves to carry things, anything he can in fact,no matter how heavy and puts anything and everything in his mouth, but as long as you are vigilant you can pull the huge pieces of concrete and ricks out before they do damage He was my bucket list breed/dog and now I have him I even smile sometimes whe I look at him asleep next to me on the couch. I am very lucky ,picked him out of a litter by photos (as I have done with all my dogs)at 8 weeks and am very happy with how he turned out. This pic kind of sums him up

Monah
Alex is such a cutie!! I've met very out there ones who are very busy!! These were females though and I personally find females of many breeds more busy than the big goofy boys :D The boys are lovely, they are a wonderful breed, ....so many great breeds, so little time I've not been to NZ but Alex may tempt me!
