The Wimmera Mail Times reports a person took a pet pomeranian from a yard in Nhill, about 375km north-west of Melbourne, and cut the animal in half between 7pm on Friday and 11am on Sunday. The owner found one part of the dog thrown over a fence, police Sergeant Nelson Barwise told the paper. "The family who owned the dog are obviously very distressed by what has happened; they feared their two-year-old daughter could have found the remains," Sergeant Barwise said. "It appears the animal has been deliberately cut in half with a sharp implement and the remainder of the animal's body has not been located." Link to comment
