IMO all breeders can produce poor stock. Luck of the draw. I am continually surprised however by situations which contradict well publicised statements of ethics by some of the well known breeders ..even those considered top breeders. And keeping ithese contradictions secret ..so they think..... happens so often.

For sure! But for me, that's where limited and main reg come into play. I've seen some really poor examples of Danes, to the extent where you would think they were crossed with something else. But somehow they've ended up on Main Reg and end up having litters. I don't see this as a good thing.
