Thanks all,

Rang both of those numbers and couldn't get the info I needed.

went to Anzac Highway - only one open. They confirmed she is losing at least one or all of her puppies. She has no temperature and is eating her food ok so advice at present is to keep an eye on her and check her temp etc and then go to own vet in morning.

Was able to get hold of Dion in the end (thank you Facebook!!) and had a good chat.

Keeping an eye on things tonight.

She is definitely losing at least one of her puppies.

Ok - update after vet visit again today....

No sign of puppies now, so has aborted or absorbed them both.

Tests being done to make sure she is ok.

On antibiotics too.

She seems fine, just quiet. Still eating all her dinner (with gusto). I don't think she'll be happy when i start cutting back her food to her non-pregnant size feeds.

I know you will very upset about your bitch and this probably not the right time to speak to you, but if I don't offer a suggestion now I feel I may forget.

Have you ever thought of doing a T5 Thyroid panel on her and after the blood is drawn sending it to Jean Dodd's a Hemopet in California.

Just a thought that may be helpful.

Thyroid problems can cause what you have been through.

Thanks Oakway - it is still a bit early to work out what I want to do. I've been reading and thyroid is one of the things I should get checked.
