leeangelau
Hey Everyone. We got a new Dane on Wednesday, we bought him through a lady 8 hours away so we had her take him to the Vet for extra check-ups and to make sure we were getting a pup as healthy as you would expect. When we got him the first thing I noticed was his eyes, they were very sore looking in the corners/lower lids. I am sure that this is a part of their 3rd eyelid and both sides looked a bit raised. I texted her straight away to ask her about this and she said this was just a puppy thing. Yer right. So first thing I did the next day was take him to my Vet to get looked over. My vet seemed to think he may have an allergy, assured me it wasn't Cherry eye or any other eye deformity but I would like you guys to have a look at a picture of his eyes and tell me what you think. You can see theres a membrane/3rd lid that is quite raised. The eyedrops and cream are reducing the inflammation but not entirely so I will be keeping up with further treatment. Thanks for any opinions.

SwaY
They don't look like cherry eye to me either. Puppies sometimes get tired and their eyes droop a little. Hopefully the treatment will work and you get no further problems.
Sandra777
Sometimes when a dog is stressed it will show more of it's third eyelid than normal. If the vet's happy I'd give it a few days - keep the breeder updated though.
