Hang in there Alison, you are doing an amazing job for this little man, he's so lucky to have you behind him. I'm sure he's going to make it, it's a big hurdle but he's got the best chance with all the help you and your vets are giving him. garnali Posted September 15, 2011 Author Share Posted September 15, 2011 Jake is eating & drinking But still not walking.... He's bright & chirpy & happy to see people.. Thanks for all the thoughts coming his way I'm sure he can feel them.. Hoping that he will up and walking tomorrow.. Will update you with details over the weekend.. Didnt lose the strength in front end this time and is alreday trying to stand again.. Didnt need his pain meds or antibiotics so far.. just rear end let him down.. Back on Calcium supplements in meantime.. Loves his heated cat bed and pokes his nose out to make sure we havent forgotten him.. His growth plates are swollen but not painful.. Hoping he will be walking by Sunday.. Oh takes turns taking him out onto grass for pee & poo.. At least his housetraining has been usefull.. for a quick recovery.. He is happily bouncing around the house again and this time we are maintaining his Calcium supplements in the hope that he does not have a bad turn again.. Seems to be a bit cyclic in nature.. He has a few good weeks then hits the down hill again.. I watch him for any changes and medicate him as soon as he slumps.. Thanks for all the good thoughts.. I'm sure he knows..
