I haven't had a chance to post a thread like this in a while.

On the local buy/swap/sell facebook page someone posted about Labs for sale, i asked if they had been hip scored. Of course not! Vet has checked the dogs over, and they are not papered.

Another user posted this:

I am with you Louise..... didnt paper my pups cause I didnt want them ending up in puppy farms!!! Pedigree Quality Pups!!! Friend for life...not puppy machine!!!

ARGH!! I replied back, but there probably was no point at all, they wont listen.

:mad :mad

nless you plan to show or breed...papers are not necessary. If you want your pup hip scored... feel free to pay the vet bill to do it.

Pups will find their forever homes....I even have someone comming from Tasmania to view and take one..... No one is doing me a favour by buying one.... I am doing them a favour by letting them buy one!!!

A dog should be chosen as a companion and friend... not for the show ring.... good luck with fining the right people for your pups Louise....

I am too tired to put anything good together to comment - happy to share the page if anyone is up to bashing their head against a brick wall.. just PM me.

I see it every day at work, people breeding who just dont care less, it breaks my heart. Some people you can talk to, others have their heads in the sand and no plan on changing it :(

My final reply would be to these peope....how will you feel standing up in court being held responsible for the

poor quality dog they have bred. The vet on the owners side proving that the dog had hereditary problems.

the first sentence doesn't make much sense at all, they sound like thickheads :mad but i spose some one could put something up for other people in the hopes of educating someone out there, that is a reasonable argument.
