~Shepherd~
what's it for? Can you call him a cattle dog mix or do you need to say exactly what he is? He is a rescue from death row, arriving with us tomorrow, and will be advertised in 2 weeks after quarantine and vetwork. Never seen anything like it lol.. People ask what you have available and to explain to them that he is a ACD, Kelpie, BC, COOLIE, JRT, Foxie, Pom, Licorice allsort but only 35cm. Usually you can say a something x, but in this case its definitely a Pastie. Will get some pics tomoz.

budgiew
Just saw a dog on a rescue site that looks very similar. He is listed as Terrier x Australian Cattledog. So maybe that will cover it.Or call him a Mixed Blend ;i have seen that used elsewhere too.Still cute whatever he is. For spelling.. Edited July 17, 2011 by budgiew
Janba
The ticking is a very common marking in working border collies and doesn't neccessarily mean there is any ACD present as are short coats. I have no idea the mix.
Steve
Surely unless you know what he DOES have in him saying what he is causes a potential issue doesnt it? How could anyone know? So why is it necessary to guess ?
espinay2
Just call him a Heinz Variety or Mixed Breed and describe his personality. I think sometimes too much emphasis is put on guessing when a wrong guess can give a wrong impression. Edited July 17, 2011 by espinay2
