Dracdog
I have just found out that apparantley the big front Gate at Durack was pinched the other night. Those gates are Huge and would have taken a fair bit to steal.

Hi, Two weeks ago at Erskine Park, we had some low life's lifting purses from cabanas and breaking into cars.....just lucky that an exhibitor saw one of them in the carpark and crabbed him....co incidently the exhibitor was a Police Officer.......there is karma in this world after all. Andisa
For someone to steal gates it would have taken a lot of planning, makes you wonder how anyone would be that game. Then again my parents have had a motor bike and a caravan stolen from their property long with several other smaller items at different times. Just home that Karma does her best. Crazy Daisy
Wow, that's a huge job to steal those gates! The caretaker doesn't live too far away from the front entrance, I wonder if they checked they weren't at home or else they would have had to be very quiet. And the gates are just off a very busy road?? I can't believe that no-one would have stopped them. It will be fun at the show tomorrow to hear all the theories. Shaar
When our neighbors moved out of the rental over the road the house was empty for about a week. In that time someone stole the big iron gates from the driveway. Another one of my friends had a huge solid concrete water feature in their front yard (one of those ones like a mini pond with a lady in the center). Some yobbo came by in the middle of the night and stole it. It takes 4 strong men to lift this fountain. We have decorative logs that stand upright in our yard, they didn't get stolen, but they did all get pushed over and rolled about... all while we were in bed. The biggest one was right under the bedroom window
Jsk
Yes I cant understand what makes people think they can steal things from others. At Murwillumbah on the weekend someones sick daughters Ipod was stolen from there tent while the daughter was asleep. A few weeks ago at another show 2 people set up next to each other had an Iphone taken and a wallet taken from there ring side gazebo's. There was a threat to go to the police put around the show, and the next day the phone and wallet was returned to there camping tents (not the same place from where it was taken from). The phone had over $200 worth of calls made (before the phone was locked) and the wallet was minus the money (over $100)
