New Shiba Inu Owner- Training And Socialisation Advice

Hi there,

I'm getting a shiba inu puppy soon and I was hoping to get some recommendations for training and socialisation?

- I'm thinking of enrolling her into'super puppy' classes at Paw behvaiour. I live in Highett so it's about a 20 minute drive which is ok. Has anyone been to these classes? I really want to have a well trained dog as shiba inu's a renowned for being stubborn- other recommendations are welcome.

- What are some good places to go to socialise my puppy- specially to kids and other dogs? Any fenced off areas that are popular?

I wouldn't recommend any off lead areas to socialise your puppy. Its important that every socialisation experience is controlled and you teach your pup to value you above everything else.

Go and see training classes before you enrol so that you can make sure they will be suitable for what you want.

I had a shiba pup in a class recently and she was really lovely!
