Guest Willow Posted June 23, 2011 Share Posted June 23, 2011 Whilst I was looking for something totally non dog-related on Gumtree, a random ad came up for a 6 week old Whippet pup, that had already been with her new family for a week, and was being rehomed because the older dog in the household had taken a dislike to her. Sad for many reasons.... Sad that someone has BYB bred this pup & offloaded it at 5 weeks. Sad that the person who bred this dog either won't take it back, or the family don't feel they should send it back there (or maybe it was a pet shop pup?). Sad that the poor pup will go through three homes before she is 7 weeks old. I guess at least the family haven't done what some people do & gone "oh, we'll keep the cute puppy & get rid of the cranky older dog", and they are asking $400 for her, which may be to recoup their losses, or may be to genuinely deter non-genuine people.
