sheena
I have been trying to take videos with my Canon DSLR 500D & some turn out OK, but others are very out of focus. I have it set on "Video" (of course) & when I turn it on, I get the message "perform AF with AE Lock <*> button". What am I doing wrong, I thought it would be simple & all focusing/exposure etc would be done automatically
kja
I thought video was all manual focus & controls on most models (or at least for the best results)? Not to ask the obvious, but have you read the manual? What does it say for getting started? Tips for shooting video Another link Sorry, can't help - never had any interest in shooting video with my dslrs so haven't added a model with that capability! Kirislin
I think that means the little button on the back of your camera with the asterisk * use that to focus.
