HazyWal
I got my first foster greyhound in Aug last year.Of course I fell in love with him on day one.Instant foster failure!I have only ever had male dogs my whole life and Stan grabbed my heart in the first 5 minutes.I still decided to foster more and had 5 foster greys after him,all females.Well poor Stan got bossed around by all these girls until foster failure number 6 came along.Little Maddie was only 22kg,12kg under Stan when I got her.She is the softest little girl. Her tail never stops wagging. She is so gentle and sweet. After Stan realised he wasn't going to get attitude he decided he was going to boss her around! He would growl at her if she got on the bed,he would pull a pigs ear out of her mouth,he would give her the evil eye if she got on the lounge he was awfull. Then one day he realised she loved him.I mean really loved him.She adores him! When I get up for work at 5am Mads is up with me.When Mr Nasty gets up about 10 mins later she can hear him.Her tail wags madly and I say to her is that Stan? The look on her face when his royal highness enters the room is priceless! When we go for a walk Maddie gets a bit shy with people and puts her head under Stan's belly like he's her security and he parts his hind legs to make sure she's safe. This week has been horendous with the rain and to watch them play tug-o-war in the house with no drama has been gold.Stan now has respect for the little girl that adores him.It amazes me me that I have two dogs that until a few months ago had never met each other and now are like two peas in a pod!Don't get me wrong Stan still gets the sh#ts when she outruns him in the backyard or when she pushes her squeaky toy in his face for ages and he roars at her but isn't it great when you know they have they really do love each other

newfsie
What a gorgeous story .....it is so lovely when two dogs get on so well We have a very close pair here too. We got a new Newfie Rescue, Lukey, about four months ago and he has fitted in really well with all our dogs. But he has a very special relationship with our younger female, Katy. They lie together, they always touch and they play "soft-play". I love watching them together. As a foursome they have fun and they all play a good game of rough-house . But these two are very sweet together.
W Sibs
that's beautiful love it when dogs love each other and get along with each other I love the Charlie and Emmy have an amazing bond between them. The typical big brother and little sister relationship.. Emmy adores Charlie. She knows when Charlie is having a bad day and is sooo gentle with him, and she is protective of him too. Charlie lets Emmy do anything to him (he really doesn't have a choice in that though)... he absolutely adores her.
Gayle.
My baby boy. Isaak, fell head over heels in love with Shae, our 5yo rescue girl when she came to live with us in Feb. He took one look and he was totally smitten.....he humped her head, stole her toys, grabbed her by the neck and dragged her around the yard......and she reciprocated his feelings and simply went back for more. Now, if I'm looking for one, I know I'll find the other there too. They sleep together, they sit together in the house in the evenings, they eat their meals together and they play and play and play all day together. My other two are buddies with each other, but not like Shae and Isaak.

rastus_froggy
My Froggy and Saxon were inseperable from the moment they came together, I always made sure I did different activities with them though so that they did have apart time. Then Stimpy came along, she got on great with Saxon but in the beginning her and Froggy managed to tolerate each other, now they get on fine but nothing like the relationship between Froggy and Saxon. Stimpy now has Chevy as her best bud, they are nearly a spitting image of each other there's just 30kg difference in them

I would love to have kept fostering but I live in a rental property that JUST puts up with the two I have now.I feel like a bit of an imposter compared to all the hard working foster families like yourself

Well, not without me anyway. The last one to come here is the oldest, she is 5 and she's a rescue dog (albeit with a pretty flash pedigree), who's first owners neglected her and second owners abandoned her. I don't actually think I could have them for just a while then send them on their way, I just love them too much once they come here. I promised my rescue dog that she will always have a comfy lap to lie on, a warm bed next to mine and all the love she can handle.
Liath
We got a new puppy 2 weeks ago. The oldest, maddie tolerates her, growls at her when she is close but snuggles with her in the same bed when she thinks noone is looking. The pup, Mykah and the other girl sasha, are best buds. Where one is the other one will be also. They play together constantly, doing zoomies around the back yard. Mykahs legs cant quiet keep up yet but she tries her hardest. Sasha takes mykahs toys, food from her mouth, drinks her puppy milk but one little squeek from the mykah and she is there, checking to make sure she is ok. I was a bit concerned that Sasha would have the middle dog syndrome when we got the pup but everything has worked out great. maddie is now left alone to enjoy her peace and quiet while the two younger ones create mayhem and havoc wherever they go.
