Posted June 13, 2011 Share Posted June 13, 2011 If there was a change to be made, or an urgent announcement (eg, lost child, lost property), I don't think the scrolling sign would be as efficient in conveying the message. They could also add a chime when a new message was to be posted. All we get now is static & muffled noise that no one can understand. It leaves everyone asking each other what did they say. yorkpark Posted June 14, 2011 Share Posted June 14, 2011 Hi All A PA System upgrade is the answer in part and also I am in favour of a scrolling sign. (They are not cheap) However with sponsor adverts on the day we could charge sponsors a small fee to advertise thus pay for the scrolling sign!Then again be careful not to promote a competitors products or serviecs when a show sponsor may well have supported a club. The PA system speakers are the issue and a trial of a new speaker should be investigated asap. The crackling, noisy present system is causing issue with the dogs and us! Over the weekend the static before the words absolutely freaked the dogs out and as for the humans what a waste of space. YOU COULD NOT HEAR A WORD. Rebanne Posted June 14, 2011 Share Posted June 14, 2011 (edited) as long as the cost of whatever is done is borne by the people that use KCC Park and would benefit from it. ie put a levy on the entries. I very rarely show there and would be less then impressed if I had to pay extra fee's, ie higher membership to cover it, but would pay a levy on an entry. Maybe they should just ditch it?
