Maybe that was because in Paris we were usually out and about before the street cleaning people had been. And guess what they did with the stuff, hosed it straight into the drains. Yuck. And the Seine - OMG the stench. On Sunday morning it stank like one giant piss pot. It would be a nice place to walk if it wasn't for the almighty pong.
