kja
This weather is so average for practising! Think of it as "challenging" Hope you are getting some better results and loving the new gear!
SammieS
Ditto on avoiding the green box. Saying that, they shouldn't be that bad on that setting. Try your hubby on P instead, there at least you can override some of the settings. I agree with trying P mode - its almost auto mode but better! that's what I set up for OH when he's controlling the camera ;)
wagsalot
Will get him to give P a shot. He said he'll probably just use the 350D, but he did get some good shots on the auto mode yesterday. It seems auto is ok for anything still, but for something like Riley, if he moves his head slightly it picks a really odd focus point. The weathers been really crappy and I haven't managed to get out, so the closest thing I got to something moving yesterday to practice on my was Dad and my OH I set the camera up and took photos of them walking up the stairs, using the saw, hammering in nails etc. All my shots were perfectly focused so I was happy with that, and ended up setting one of my custom presets too. It was like a little movie out of photos - the 7D is much much quicker than the 350D! Edited June 13, 2011 by wagsalot
