Tilly
Yes you can use the dishwasher ... I don't have one so I use the Kong brush to scrub it clean inside and then soak it in a solution of Milton before rinsing well.

corvus
I have the Kong shaped brush as well. I marvel at it every time I use it to scrub out the dried peanut butter. It is very quick and effective and even has a teensy brush that comes out of the bottom that can do the little hole at the end.
Scarlett Dog
You can also use a baby bottle brush to clean them. I soak them in hot water every week and given them a good scrub

I think my housemate would kick me out if I did that! lol Ive got a kong shaped brush...its great!! I like my matching stainless dog bowls to be sparkling LOL Picking them up after every meal and cleaning them, makes sure there aren't an ants, mice or slugs hanging around. Apparently you can wash car and bike parts in the dish washer too I draw the line at the dog bowls
oakway
mine get put in the dish washer, along with the dog bowls. Me to can't think of a better to clean and disinfect. A friend of mine washes her croc's in there. Nothing like opening up the dish washer to see a line up of shoes.

wagsalot
I've got a kong shaped brush now that I use, but before that Id soak them in hot water for a bit to soften everything, then blast them with water to push all the bits out of it.
