Request For Help For Japan Earthquake Forgotten Victims

I am appealing on behalf of not for profit animal rescue organisation Animal Rescue Kensai ARK.

Elizabeth Oliver founder of ARK has worked tirelessly to rescue and rehome animals in Japan for over 20 years. ARK has rescue shelters in Tokyo and Osaka.

Elizabeth and her volunteers are unselfishly entering the disaster affected regions of the Sendai region to rescue pets left behind by owners who are either missing, dead or in evacuation centres.

As an Aussie residing in Kobe, near Osaka, I am also calling on donations of wool to be knitted or crocheted into blankets to prepare for the return of colder weather here in Japan.

Thanks for posting. I find it hard to imagine what people and pets are going through in Japan.

Does ARK have any more recent stories about animals rescued? The link you posted says they are anticipating an influx of animals, but is not dated. I'd guess the influx has already come and they are now having a hard time coping with it.
