Blood In Nail?

Was about to trim's Bailey's nails when I notice there was what seem to be blood in 2 of his front paws nails. Pictures are included below. Can anyone shed any light on what it might be?

It's his quick. The same as the pink part on our nails, don't cut it as it will bleed, only trim the white tips off. ;)

The pink you see inside the nail is the quick, the brown staining you see on the outside is different. It might be something to do with the nail bed which is where the nail goes inside the toe. I've been told it's an infection but also told it's nothing to worry about. Not 100% sure. My 2 boys have it and it hasn't caused them any problems but I keep an eye on it to make sure the skin doesn't get red and puffy.

IMO it looks like he has bruised the nail bed. Mine have them often after zoomies on the acreage. They just grown out like a bruise under your nail would.

Agree. Keep an eye on it but its nothing to stress about. My guys do it all the time and if your dog had black nails you wouldn't even notice.

He does not seem to be in any form of discomfort so I'll take the advices given and just keep an eye on it.
