Kirislin
as the title says. I'd like more opinions please.
redangel
The second one...Somehow I am distracted by the brightblue on the other dog, it takes away from the main subject. Correct me if Im wrong but does the second one apply 1/3rds much better?? IMO only, and Im no expert.
Kirislin
I'm no expert either, I think you are right about the rule of thirds, I just wondered if having the dog in the distance told more of the story. thanks redangel.
helen
definately the 2nd, the dog is moving into the frame, not out of it ETA, neither have the dog in the centre Edited May 23, 2011 by helen
becandcharch
2. For exactly why Helen said
dogfan
I like 2, but I think 1 is better... It seems more 'full' and the blue dog isn't distracting to me.

wagsalot
Bit late, but I like the first one. I didn't even notice the dog with the blue until I read the posts about it. Now I can see the dog though I like it even more as it feels likes its more of a race. (my opinions as a crappy photographer so I really have no idea! ) Edited May 23, 2011 by wagsalot
Linda K
2 definitely, 1 is a bit close crop to the main subject

(my opinions as a crappy photographer so I really have no idea! ) That's what I was wondering too. the 2nd pic is the way I cropped it first, I thought that looked best but then I went back to look again wondering how I could give the impression of a proper race, not a dog running solo, but it seems the general consensus and I think it's the right one is to go with the 2nd pic. Thanks all for your valued opinions. Thanks Persephone :D Edited May 24, 2011 by Kirislin
