Need A New Heelwork To Music Song

 Share

Recommended Posts

I'm a bit brain dead at the moment as my step dad recently passed away and I need to get myself organised as Ekka entries are due shortly so I need your help. As you can guess from my topic I need a new Heelwork to Music routine for Chook.

Chook is a clown of a dog and is a typical male border collie who likes to take the lead when we are dancing.

The song needs to have a steady beat that you can walk to easily and something that people know and can sing along with any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

:D

Depends on what you like?

I'm currently working on Chad Kroeger and Santanas 'Into the Night'

I've also toyed with the old Mambo number 5,

Crazy Little Thing Called Love

The Beat Goes On

You Spin me Right Round

The King of Wishful Thinking

Shake a Tail Feather

And I have a stack of Belly dance and Arabic Pop, but I'm a belly dancer, so that suits me.

Thanks for the replies.

Because Chook is a funny dog with heaps of personality I was thinking something upbeat and catchy, something everyone can sing along to.

 I just need to get myself somewhere to a trial :D. I have half a HTM routine planned to it already - just need a sound dog that I can train and trial again :(.

Her new freestyle routine is going to be quite spiffy too .

You all have some great songs some of them have either been done or are being done at the moment. I'm looking for something different but what I don't know.

500 miles is on the top of my list at the moment though it was a great song and everyone knows it. But keep the ideas coming

They played Paul Kelly "Good light in Broome" on the radio this arvo - I reckon that one would be good too along with a whole lot of his songs. But that one has a lot of stuff about dogs in it. And whistling for dogs, which could get interesting in a dog competition.
