Baby Dragon
Does anyone have any experience with food aggression suddenly starting in a 2 - 3 year old dog? I know how to stop it - make it impossible for them to go near each other when one of them is eating. But I'm more interested in the underlying cause and what could be going on for a dog to suddenly become food aggressive with another dog they've been living with and eating near for over a year with no issues with food before. Change in pack dynamics is one possible reason.

corvus
Social maturation, perhaps. Hunger, stiffness/soreness, unpleasant weather... lots of things can make a dog unusually short-tempered. Or sometimes there has been stuff going on for a long time and one dog has just about had more than they can take.
