Websites For Up And Coming Breeders

I was wondering if everyone could share with me their favorite website for beginner breeders? And books, as well, I love books :)

Nothing too basic, but I'd like information on pregnancy care, puppy delivery, what can go wrong etc.

Papillon or toy breed specific would be great, but I'm sure there are a lot of great general websites as well.

Thanks :)

have to say I agree, the Myra Savant-Harris books are my bibles. I have other, very good books but I keep coming back to Myra.

"Book Of the Bitch"

A complete guide to understanding & caring for Bitches

By J.M. Evans & Kay white

IMO I believe this is a must have for any beginner breeder..I have found it very helpful. :)

Other books I have found helpful & that are in my bookcase are-

"Successful Dog Breeding"

The complete handbook of Canine Midwifery

By Chris Walkowicz & Bonnie Wilcox, D.V.M.

"The Whelping & Rearing of Puppies"

A complete & practical guide

By Muriel P. Lee

All 3 books are usually easily found on Amazon. :)

Yep, Puppy Intensive Care is the best book I have bought ever & I own ALOT of books :). Make it the first book you buy and you will not regret it.

Thanks Amanda, will look into it! Between Uni assignments, my breeders prefix exam, and pregnancy and whelping research, I've been a very busy girl lately! Can never learn too much though I say :D
