That is wonderful wonderful news, I was almost too scared to open this up and look!

I was almost too scared to answer the phone when the vet just called!

Considering I've been calling atleast 4 times a day for any news on her, and had spoken to the nurse a couple hrs before hand, I panicked when I saw the vets number come up.

SO happy!!!

Thankyou again everyone, you've been so kind to myself and the tribe, really helped me to try and stay positive through everything, massive hugs guys!!

Ok now to figure out what to do when she gets home...

Should I quarantine her for a couple days? Read that they can still shed the virus for 48hrs after they are better? Can someone define "better"?

Is it just her stools that contain the transmittable virus? Had a fair few different things told to me about that subject.

How long untill she would be allowed to be socialized with other puppies? ie puppy preschool or other well known pups?

Should I keep Indie home for the next 14days just incase he has picked it up and spreads it? He is vaccinated.

Google is FULL of conflicting thoughts on parvo.

I would think the rescue area is probably the best place to ask those questions Julzjc.

Still got all paws and finegrs firmly crossed for you :)

Hey guys! Sorry, my laptop has been on the blink (toddler cracked the plasma screen) so my internet access either keeps failing/half my screen dissapears.

So....

Whoo hoo, Astrid got home on Saturday. She getting alot stronger being home, poor thing was skeletal when I collected her. She is on the high energy gastro wet food but she is coping well with little bits of dry etc. Her collar was in the smallest hole when I left her and I could JUST get 2fingers in it...now I can fit my whole hand through it!

She was SO excited to see Indie (and me ofcourse ;) ). Greeted him like she had known him her whole life. She is settling in so well. Such a spunky little tyke, not fazed by anything. Little "guts" too, lives for food unlike Indie, scoffs it down like there is no tomorrow. She cried for 5minutes the first night when put them to bed but she was great last night, smart little cookie she is.

She and Indie are both on lockdown for the next 4wks to make sure they arent shedding the virus anymore when we go out, so Im hoping she turns into a well rounded dog despite me not being able to socialise her (asif she needs more socialising than she had at the pound, free puppy preschool lol). So far she seems great with everything and everybody, just crossing fingers she stays that way with being stuck at home.

So far so good!

Oh, Indie has still been eating everyday! You can just feel a tiny bit of difference when you touch him. I'll weigh him today to check to see how much weight he has put on.

Things are looking up!

hi there, as a vet nurse i would get a vet check and a blood test.. weight loss could be a lot of reasons, some cancers, stress, not eating. in the meantime start some puppy food as thats very high in fat.

Good time for you and your family to have a little relax and de-stress time, you must be feeling totally bombed out after all youve been through :( Big hugs for you all, dogsters included :)

So glad to hear - what a roller coaster ride! Really hope this is the start of a long happy life of friendship for her and Indie!

Good advice, however Julz has posted that Inidie has been to the vet several times (a even a couple of differnt vets) and had a battery of tests! ;)

Thanks guys!!!

I'll post pictures as soon as I get my laptop back from having it's screen replaced, hopefully Friday.

Lots of cutsie pictures. Indie is slowly getting used to not having to be afraid of Astrid when he is playing fetch/eating. I miss Bonnie so much but she was forever putting Indie in his place and had to be separated whenever they had food. Not sure if he will ever be as close to Astrid as he was Bonnie but he seems to really be enjoying not having to be wary of getting told off by her. Pretends he doesn't want her to cuddle into him but you'll see by the photos that Indies just a sook.

She was estimated to be 12wks old (13wks now), but she has suddenly lost alot of her puppy teeth so guessing she

may be older than first thought?

Such a little guts, just like a mini Bonnie lol, practically inhales her food. Indies just loving life again. Just fantastic seeing the old Indie return.
