 OMG 12 bubba's. Congratulations Alyosha. I think you are going to be slightly busy over the next few weeks :)

Cynda is still being very picky with her food. I am still having to hand feed her her barf. But she will have vegemite sandwiches but herself :mad Go figure. I bought her some beef mince today and then cooked it up and added eggs and some maet of a lamb shank that she hadn't eaten, and yep, she loved it. So looks like she wants her meals cooked from now on

:dropjaw::eek: 12 wow if my girl has 12 I will cry :scared: I have had litters of 10 before and to find a nipple for them all is so hard, and then when they are up and around you have no idea where to put your feet :noidea: but you could do with more hands :)

It's a scary thought isn't it zzz? Our are all strong and feeding well, but two little boys are quite tiny and easily pushed off a nipple by any of their bigger brothers and sisters!

So I've split them into two groups of 6. Each group has it's own heated box. I put a group with mum every hour or so. I can also take them all off and have them sleep next to her while her milk recovers a little bteween feeds. Its time consuming but is working for now. Except that I haven't slept yet... No wait! I had an hour this morning...

Our girl still has colostrom so I think once her milk really kicks in we should have relative peace with this little system.

Now some pics...

The whole gang:

Wow Alyosha - 12!! So much for the 7 you were hoping for!! Thery are just gorgeous and i'd be very interested in hearing about the system you have going for feeding because i'm now thinking I might need it. I love your pups - especially the photo of all of them together! I can only imagine what it is going to be like trying to do a head count once they get up and moving - 'now, did I count that one already??'

Well we're officially at 63 days on sunday...I was thinking given how big my girl is that she'd be looking at mid week but here we are and still no puppies! I can't imagine her actually getting any bigger at this point, she's having a lovely big lay in the sun this morning and you can see her side rippling with all the puppies moving around in there. I mean the maximum of 10 puppies she has in there.... She's not eating anywhere near as much as normal and is doing lots of sunbaking and sleeping but stil loves her afternoon romp around the paddock. It's so hard to tell - i'm used to horses and i'm struggling to look for anything other than the most obvious signs here!

Ah well - they'll come when they're ready (hopefully sooner rather than later!)

You should get a video of the belly rippling in the sun!! Fingers crossed for some action soon!!! :crossfingers:

The head count is interesting!! I'm kicking myself now for not getting id collars from Sway :o .

Here was me counting on 'Zoi normally having individual markings, and not really counting on having quite so many gold & white babies to try and tell apart!!! Lesson learned. Make sure to have id collars no matter what breed you have!!!

I'll let you know how the feeding system goes Jetpoint. It seems to be going smoothly so far. And six are much easier for her to cope with in the box at a time than 12! She's trying so hard to not lie on them, I think all 12 squirming around would be too stressful for her.

Alyosha they are so cute, I had to count them 3 times to get 12

My girl had a litter in 2008 7 puppies and she has 11 niples but only 9 that the pups would feed from and they were not keen on the back 2 so only 7 that they would use.

I was thinking if she had more than 7 then I would need to do the same as you with 2 lots, but my worrie is, that one of my other girls had a litter of 10 but if I took some away and put them in a box she keep trying to get in the box with them

Do you leave them were she can hear them or not?

Please keep us informed about this as very intrested. :)
