Guest CaptainCourageous
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a great place for a group of dog lovers to get together in Melbourne + environs. (Not KCC Park). What we probably need: - off lead areas - chance for off lead walk - open clean public toilets - drink fountains - public BBQs What might be nice: - water feature (seaside / river / lake) - nice scenery - easy parking In the past some have recommended their local parks which have sometimes turned out a little dull. Can anyone recommend a really great place? CC
Nik
What about Yarra Bend Park? http://www.parkweb.vic.gov.au/resources05/05_0501.pdf Something for everyone!
karly101
Ruffey Lake Park in King Street, Doncaster is quite nice, large playground, bbqs, toilets, plenty of off leash running space. The dog beach near Bay St Brighton is okay too but it can be very busy, it is fenced off lead year round.
Staff'n'Toller
Lilydale Lake. Ticks all your boxes.
~Shepherd~
100% guaranteed you wont be disappointed with any of these. Unless it rains or you get attacked by bogans, unlikely though as they are very nice areas.
Guest CaptainCourageous
Thanks everyone. I might check out Westfield Reserve on Yarra Bend Rd to start with CC
