Ittybitty_
Master, It's Time, Master, dear Master, the old dog said, My road has come to an end. No more can I ramble by your side Your loved and trusted friend. My eyes, once filled with joy of life, Are dimmed with age and pain. The walks we shared by field and stream Must wait for another day. You cared for me with all your heart, And I gave you my all. But now, beloved master, Another Master calls. I know you hate to let me go, But my love is yours to keep. The time has come, my dearest friend, When I need to go to sleep. Your kindness made my life a joy And you love me, this I know. Show me your love one final time And gently let me go. Master, my beloved friend, As we say our last good-bye, Know that I will be waiting For you on the other side. Then we will ramble the woods again, Walk the fields when the leaves start to fall. I'll be sitting right here by the golden gates Waiting for your call. This image is a little tribute to my girl Sapphire, her Stairway to heaven. That is her sitting in the picture. KOE
This one is Rileys Kulglen Xer Xes 16th May 2003 to 30th June 2004 I was standing on a hillside in a field of flowing wheat And the spirit of a German Shepherd Dog was lying at my feet He looked at me with kind dark eyes ancient wisdom shining through And in the essance of his being his love shone clear and through His mind did lock upon my heart as I stood there that day And he told me of this story of a place so far away His tale did put my heart at ease my fears did fade away About what lay ahead of me on a distant day I live among gods creatures now in the heavens of your mind So do not grieve for me my friend as I am with my kind My collar is a rainbow hue my leash a shooting star My boundries are the milky way where I sparkle from afar There are no pens or kennels here and I am not confined But free to roam gods heaven's among my shepherd kind I nap the day on a snowy cloud gentle breezes rocking me And dream dreams of earth and how it used to be The trees are full of liver treats and tennis balls abound And milk bones line the walkways just waiting to be found And even is a ring set up the grass all lush and green And everyone who gaits around becomes best of breed For we are all winners in this place we have no faults you see And god passes out those ribbons to each one even me I drink from waters laced with gold my world a beauty to behold And wise old dogs do form my pride to amble at my side At night I sleep in angels arms her wings protecting me And moonbeams dance about us as stardust falls on thee So when your life on earth is spent and you stand at heavens gate Have no fear of lonliness for here you know I wait. Labsmum
Must be so difficult. My best blessings to you. I've got a 15 yr old lab and cry daily knowing he wil go to rainbow bridge soon too. Mind you it wont be before his time I hope and pray. We go walkys every morning and I ask him "are you a happy dog?" Big waggy tail and a nearly toothless smile, yep he's happy. I love that boy to pieces. I love him more than I have ever loved any one or thing. My heart goes out to you loosing your girl. Its an issue with humans and dogs cause we live for 60=70+ and they don't get to 20 usually. I send you and your recently parted canine pal my most kind and considerate thoughts, Katey
