Survey Finds Women Prioritise Dogs Over Partners

I'm sure I could find a survey where men would prioritise their Play Stations over their partners if the right questions were asked to the right group. I'd be asking on a gamer's website. Just like this was asked on a dog related one.

I really don't see the point in this kind of journalism. I'm sure its not to promote dog ownership.. more of a cheap shot at women in a "there are so many crazy dog owning women" kind of way.

yes. The survey was done by some dog website - it is hardly unbaised.

Also, the results were about how much money women spend on their pets vs their partners. The results aren't suprising - most women's partners have jobs and aren't financially dependant on them I imagine?

I agree with Crisover though - I love my dogs very much, but they make a very poor substitute for a partner. Loving your dogs doesn't mean forsaking human relationships (including friendships). There was a poll done here a while ago when a LOT of people said they would rather save their dog's life over a childs. Shudder.

My dogs are dogs. I love them, spend a lot of time with them, spend a ridiculous amount on dog walkers (even though I walk them twice a day myself), toys, agility etc. But they're dogs.

Where its practical she comes for car trips with us too.

I agree with Whisked Away my partner has his computer to spend heaps of money on. I can spend money on my dog.

pffttt what are they on about. I feed him after I've walked the dogs for an hour, fed them, rugged and put them to bed.

I'm sure I saw him this morning at some stage, between feeding, poo patrol and morning cuddles

I think there are better things to research rather than whether or not women love men or dogs better. seriously. lol

and I do agree about the playstation thing - I used to get palmed off so my OH could play the computer - therefore my babies got all my attention. lol
